The melon shawl was the easiest shawl I have ever knitted. The pattern repeat is easily memorized and executed. I did not like the border shown in the book, however, so I used the narrow point border (page 183) instead. More details can be found on my blog.

Gorgeous and glad to know it was easy to knit. I'm doing the shetland shawl and just gave up because it was too difficult. I may give this one a try. Your's looks great!

Yet another Melon :) I totally agree a simple one to do which is just what I needed at this point . Yours looks lovely too in a vaeriegated yarn , amazing how they all look so differnt using different yarns
