A blog for people interested in knitting a project from that great new book Victorian Lace Today

Well, I've started and frogged and started and frogged I don't know how many times. I lost heart for a few days. Now I have had a look at what everyone else has been doing so, I will make a cup of tea, have a scone and start again. Wish me luck.
Take heart Vicki - we all have thoses days. I finally learned that I'm better off stepping away from it when I have that much trouble.....come back fresh and it'll just go better. Good Luck!
I know what you mean -- I had to cast on 2 times and then I can't count how many times I've unknit a section. I guess that's the challenge of lace knitting. Walking away and coming back to it later as Marsha said works best for me.
Hang in there, Vicki! My first lace project was incredibly frustrating; after many many froggings, I found that a lifeline helped me progress and gain confidence. The thrill you get when everything clicks is worth the initial pain.

Good luck and happier lace knitting :)
For me, most frogging happens after 10 pm, and while my son is playing with the cat. Which are the only moments I have to knit. ;-) Good luck.
